Performance Features
• Low Core Loss: In an alternating magnetic field, its core loss is relatively low, which can effectively reduce power consumption and improve energy utilization efficiency, with remarkable energy-saving effects.
• High Magnetic Induction: It has a relatively high magnetic induction intensity and can generate a strong magnetic induction under a certain magnetic field, which can enhance the working efficiency and power density of equipment such as transformers.
• Good Orientation: The crystal structure shows an obvious preferred orientation along the rolling direction, which greatly optimizes the magnetic properties in this direction. It has a high magnetic permeability and can better meet the requirements of power equipment for the direction and intensity of the magnetic field.
Chemical Composition
It usually contains 2.9% - 3.5% silicon element, as well as appropriate amounts of elements such as carbon, aluminum, manganese, and sulfur. The silicon element can increase the resistivity of steel, reduce core loss, and enhance magnetic permeability. The aluminum element can combine with nitrogen to form inhibitors, which helps to control grain growth and improve magnetic properties. The contents of carbon, manganese, sulfur and other elements also need to be precisely controlled to ensure the comprehensive performance of the steel.
Production Process
It is smelted by an oxygen converter. The steel billet is hot-rolled, normalized, cold-rolled, intermediate-annealed, and then cold-rolled again to the finished thickness. After that, it undergoes decarburization annealing and high-temperature annealing, and finally is coated with an insulating layer.
